“Podaj piłkę” soccer tournament with Aliplast Group Foundation

On 27/08/2024, the 11th “Podaj piłkę”  soccer tournament hosted by SOS Children’s Villages Association in Poland took place. Aliplast Group Foundation was the co-sponsor of the event. The competition was intended to integrate children and youth from Programmes from across Poland, to develop their interest and offer positive reinforcement of young players, sharing experiences and promoting healthy and active lifestyle. The meeting was organised at the football pitch of the Aliplast Group.

The Lublin-based championship was attended by 8 teams: two teams from the Biłgoraj Programme, one team from the Lublin Programme, one from the Siedlce Programme, two from the Karlino Program and two teams from the Kraśnik Programme. Tygrysy Kraśnik team was the winner, Łogień Karlino was the runner-up and FC Jutrzenka from Lublin the second runner-up. Subsequent places included: 4th place - KKS Kompas Kraśnik, 5th place - Dream Team Biłgoraj, 6th - ZKO Piorun Koszalin, 7th - Niedozatrzymania Siedlce, and 8th - Niepokonani Biłgoraj. Special prize for a Fair Play Team was awarded to Niepokonani Biłgoraj.
At the end of the competition, two friendly matches were played: Children’s team vs. Adults’ team, as well as SOS Children’s Villages Association team vs. Aliplast Foundation Team. 11th “Pass the ball” tournament ended with a barbecue for all participants and supporters. This sporting event was an opportunity for young players to check their skills mastered during training sessions. Young male and female soccer players had a chance to consolidate their collaboration and support experiences in the moments of crisis.
TVP3 Lublin Branch of Polish Television, Dziennik Wschodni daily, Radio Eska station took the media patronage over the event.
